Having always had a passion for flaura and fauna, I completed a diploma in botanical painting at The English Gardening School in 2009. The first year of the course was in attendance at the inspirational Chelsea Physic Garden.
Shortly after completing the course I joined the Bedgebury Aboretum Florilegium in Kent which records rare and sometimes endangered trees and plants. This precision work can take more than a year to complete one painting, as the tree segment has to mature to the correct stage for perfect archiving.
I was also delighted to be asked to become a member of Amicus Botanicus, another group of botanical artists who exhibit their work. It was a privilege to have my painting of sweet peas appearing as one of the sixteen paintings touring the country for The Gardening Leave Charity to raise awareness of post traumatic stress disorder in the armed forces. Eventually these sixteen paintings will be auctioned off to raise money for this great cause.
Before having my family I had a career in catering, making wedding and celebratory cakes and teaching at The Cordon Bleu Cookery School in London.
I now divide my time between botanical painting and garden design.
